Mario worked with Francisco and Natalia Martinho (seen in photo on the right) the original founders of the Food Centre. He did door to door deliveries from 1962 to 64 and in June 1964 they opened up the store at 381 McArthur Ave. Mario took over the store in 1968 and worked there until his untimely death in 2001.
